Appnovation Helps D8 Accelerate Reach $250,000 Goal

Appnovation announced an additional $11,500 to support the D8 Accelerate project efforts to help move Drupal 8 from the initial beta to a full release. These additional funds are on top of Appnovation's earlier donation of $30,000 to help push the campaign to its goal of $250,000 of community funds toward accelerating the release of Drupal 8, which should be happening very shortly with only two critical issues remaining.

Since Appnovation’s founding in 2007, Drupal remains a cornerstone of the company’s development, design and consulting efforts today. Appnovation is proud to continue to give back and collaborate with the communities that make open source technologies so successful and truly innovative. The additional donation from Appnovation was reccognized at the recent DrupalCon Barcelona, along with contributions from Drupal DevDays and Drupal Camp Colorado as pushing the campaign over the finish line in achieving it's fundraising goal of $250,000

This directly relates to the Drupal Association's mission: uniting a global open source community to build and promote Drupal. Drupal 8 is the latest release on the Drupal journey, that is substantially more powerful than previous versions and provides new ways to tailor and deploy content that looks great on any device.
